We have rented a flat from Vesteda. they have told us that we had to pay for the garage like everybody else if we wanted to rent the flat.
We thought this was a standard procedure and we signed.
the garage is a structure in front of the building and the street in fron of the buildings is free parking, like all the area we live in.
We have had contact with some of the neighbours and a lot of them had cars but didn't have to pay for the parking (50 euros per month!). We always park in front of the building as it is a public free parking area.

We need advise on this:
* Is this legal?
* Vesteda told us it is an obligation for all renters, which is not the case. Does vesteda have the right to "oblige" us to take the garage with the house? their approach was a lie about eveybody having it as a standard in their contract which is not the case. Can we cancel this and claim our money back?
* Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

i also rented a flat from vesteda (about 6 years ago) but i just said i don't have a car so why should i pay for parking space.
this worked fine for me
you can write a letter in wich you say this and cancel your parking-space.
send this letter "aangetekend" to have proof that they got it.
