Twee dagen geleden heeft mijn moeder een mail ontvangen waarin vermeldt staat dat ze 750,000.00 dollar heeft gewonnen bij de "Australian International Lottery." Er zou een bedrag van 12,000,000.00 dollar zijn verdeeld onder 16 'gelukkige' winnaars.

Kan iemand ons vertellen of dit echt is? Zijn er meer mensen die een mail hebben gekregen? Wie is Dr. Chris Christian? En hoe komen ze aan het emailadres van mijn moeder?

Kortom, er is veel onduidelijkheid omtrent deze realistisch opgestelde mail. Radar, enig idee wat we hiermee moeten doen?

Nog iets vergeten: een Australische loterij die zich in Johannesburg bevindt? Best mogelijk hoor, alleen een beetje een doorzichtige oplichters-truc.

Ja ik won ook net 92 miljoen dollar. Het was weliswaar een droom maar komt op hetzelfde neer als loterijen waar je geld hebt gewonnen terwijl je niet meedoet.

Ik heb ook 2 van dit soort emails ontvangen, eentje van een Spaanse afzender en eentje van een Nederlandse. Heb ze beiden doorgestuurd naar Radar, met het relaas van de telefoongesprekken die ik heb gevoerd n.a.v. de telefoonnummers die vermeld worden in de verschillende emails (een in Spanje, een in NL).

Het lijkt een zwendelpraktijk te zijn, want toen ik reageerde op de eerste email, als "prize claim", kreeg ik de volgende (dubieuze) email terug:

Het opvallende is namelijk, dat in de "Nederlandse" email die ik kreeg, zogenaamd afkomstig van Dayzers, bijna EXACT hetzelfde stond.

Ik hoop dat Radar het hele verhaal in behandeling neemt, ze hebben alles in hun mailbox...

alles wat je krijgt van dat soort brieven moeten jullie naar [email protected] sturen dat is de politie die in europa hier iets aan kan doen.Met het verzoek hier iets aan te doen aan deze oplichters bende.
krijgt keurig antwoord terug dat het naar de desbetreffende afdeling wordt gestuurd.
Hoe komen ze aan je e-mail adres??overal waar je je e-mail adres naar toe stuurt wat een ieder ter inzage heeft daar hebben de oplichters een soort robot op zitten die al de e-mail adressen er uit selecteert en zo komen ze aan je adres.Ik weet precies waar van ze mijn e-mail adres van daan hebben.Heeft mijn zoon getraceerd die is systeembeheerder .
Dus als je b.v ergens een vraag stelt waar een ieder op kan antwoorden doordat je jouw e-mail adres er bij zet voor antwoord.Hebben die kip.terwijl je dan denkt dat het ter goedertrouw is dat alleen eerlijke mensen dit lezen!!!

Kort gezegd: dat hebben ze helemaal niet. Ze verzenden deze mail gebundeld aan tienduizenden adressen tegelijk. Er wordt gezocht op IP-adres, en de aan dat adres gekoppelde emailadressen krijgen die mail. Het lijkt alsof de mail alleen aan je moeder is gericht, maar wanneer je de namen onder de BCC-balk zichtbaar kunt maken, zul je zien dat jullie emailadres het enige niet is waar deze email aan is verzonden.

Zodra je reageert, weten ze dat je bestaat, en vermenigvuldigt het aantal emails schrikbarend.

Techneuten weten te vertellen hoe dat precies werkt met het IP-adres. Je kan verklaren dat je nooit op dubieuze sites komt, maar het hoeft helemaal geen dubieuze site te zijn die jij of je moeder hebben bezocht. Ook het wegklikken van een banner kan al voldoende zijn om je computeridentiteit prijs te geven.

Het wachten is op een ip-systeem, dat niet meer automatisch gelinkt wordt aan je email-account, het zou 98 procent van de spam buiten de deur houden.
