Ik kreeg laatst een torenhoog bod op mijn auto.. Een Amerikaanse man ( althans beweerde hij ) uit het Amerikaanse leger zou geïnteresseerd zijn in mijn auto.. Hij zou multi miljonair zijn en een tussenpersoon zoeken om op zijn geld te passen totdat hij terug kan uit irak. het zou om een som van 16.2 miljoen amerikaanse dollars gaan.. En als ik hem zou helpen zou hij mijn auto kopen En mocht ik 20% van die 16.2 miljoen dollar houden als "redelijke" vergoeding voor de moeite. Overigens heb ik het domein gecontroleerd ( van zijn e-mail ) en op die webpagina is niets anders te vinden dan reclame.. "@marines-corps.us" ziet er semi-legitiem uit. Maar dat is het dus niet . De mail zag er zo uit( om te voorkomen dat iemand in deze val trapt ) :

Na wat gegoogle heb ik niet veel informatie kunnen vinden over deze oplichtingspraktijk. maar het lijkt me handig vast wat informatie te plaatsen voor er ernstige slachtoffers vallen.

Voor de mensen die geen oplicht opties zien:
Wat hij hier eenvoudig kan doen:
- Hij maakt een bedrag naar me over
- Hij laat de auto door iemand ophalen en laat die persoon het geld halen.
- Wat later komt hij zelf en eist hij zijn geld ( wat ik dus in de aanname aan de persoon hiervoor heb gegeven ). Na een boel heibel probeert hij het geld uit mijn portemonnee te kloppen..

Er zijn nog vele andere opties en het oog verre van legitiem om vele redenen! Absoluut niet op in gaan!

Dus een volslagen onbekende vraag jou of je 'even' op 16,2 miljoen wil passen, en als dank koopt hij je auto, én krijg je 20%?

Ik denk dat de bank voor hem goedkoper is, denk je zelf niet?

... Heb in eerste instantie wel gereageerd, maar dan meteen z,n naam op Google gecheckt en kwam meteen je posting tegen.

Verder bestaat het domain van die us marines corps ook niet... Dus wat een scam.

Ben allen benieuwd warmee die nu terug komt, want hij weet natuurlijk niet dat wij het -doorhebben-...

Wat ben ik blij dat wij ook wat research hebben gedaan. Ook wij hebben een auto te koop staan, we kregen vanmorgen een mail van David Manchester met email marines-corps us.
Ik heb meteen de desbetreffende autosite ingelicht..weet niet of ze er wat mee kunnen, wij wel, we hebben meteen de emails verwijderd. Niet mee in zee gaan dus...bedankt allen !

Op de eerste mail ben ik ingegaan, hierin vroeg hij slechts of de auto nog te koop is. Ik heb gereageerd dat dat zo is en gevraagd of hij een afspraak wilde maken voor bezichtiging. Daarna kreeg ik het aanbod op 7,2 milioen in cash te passen in ruil voor 20% van dit bedrag..

Natuurlijk had ik al het heeeeele sterke vermoeden dat het een oplichter is, maar ben blij dat ik het even gecheckt heb en via radar bevestiging heb gekregen!

Ik hoop dat er iets gedaan wordt hieraan, moet er niet aan denken dat iemand erin trapt en in wie weet wat voor ellende terecht komt!!


Maar ja.. ondertussen is mn auto nog niet verkocht..

Ik heb vandaag ook dezelfde e-mail gehad van capt. Manchester van de US marines. Ik heb vervolgens de politie gebeld en zij adviseerden mij dit door te geven aan meldpunt internetfraude. Je kunt het dus doormailen naar [email protected]. De politie in NL is geïnteresseerd in deze vorm van oplichting. Echter, indien het weer dezelfde Nigeriaanse oplichters zijn dan is men afhankelijk van de Nigeriaanse overheid .. en die werkt helaas niet mee. De Nederlandse politie treft dus geen blaam. Mijn advies is .. geef het in elk geval door aan het hierboven genoemde e-mailadres.

Ook ik heb net een mailtje gekregen van David Manchester die mijn auto wil kopen. Ik heb gereageerd, maar kreeg toch de behoefte om hem even te googlen. Gelukkig kwam ik deze post tegen, waardoor ik nu zeker weet dat mijn gevoel klopt en ik hier niet verder op in ga.
Alleen kwam mijn mailtje van een ander adres dan hiervoor gemeld, namelijk: [email protected]

Via een duitse site heb ik mijn huis te koop staan. Ik woon redelijk dicht bij de duitse grens in de buurt van een amerikaanse legerbasis, dus toen ik reactie kreeg van een amerikaanse captain als reactie op mijn advertentie dat hij interesse had in mijn woning vond ik dat niet zo raar, in mijn omgeving worden immers vaker huizen verkocht aan amerikaanse militairen. Ik heb hem informatie gestuurd over mijn huis met de opmerking dat hij via mijn makelaar een bezichtiging kan aanvragen of een bod kan uitbrengen.
Vandaag kreeg ik, jullie raden het al... een reactie van captain Allen Steven van the US Marines "helaas" had die van mij maar 6 miljoen gestolen en kreeg ik wat minder procenten als ik hier boven zie, maar hij wilde natuurlijk wel mijn huis komen voor een belachelijk bedrag. Hahaha, deze captain mailde via een google account en is uiteraard direct van de spammap naar de prullenbak verhuisd.
In mijn geval kwam het eerste bericht dus helaas wel geloofwaardig over door de omstandigheden. Ik heb direct de site een mailtje gestuurd. Dit komt dus niet alleen in Nederland voor, maar dezelfde mensen werken onder een andere naam ook in duitsland.... Jammer dat deze mensen niet gestopt kunnen worden en dat dit zich zo ver kan verspreiden.

Ik begrijp niet helemaal goed dat mensen nog zo naief zijn om dit soort mails te geloven. Voor amper iets doen, wat dan ook nog volstrekt eerlijk en legaal is zoveel kunnen verdienen? Ja als je de hoofdprijs wint in de staatsloterij ofzo.
